We, the Gym Bros, being of sound mind and shredded body, do hereby establish these by-laws to govern our brotherhood of gains, beers, and mutual accountability. Let no rep be skipped, no beer remain unfinished, and no bro be left behind.
Membership is open to individuals who possess the following attributes: a willingness to prioritize gym camaraderie, a respect for the sanctity of Beer Day, and an unwavering commitment to crushing PRs and protein shakes alike.
All prospective members must perform the "Bros' Gauntlet," which includes 50 kettlebell swings, 20 burpee pull-ups, and a 12 oz beer chug under 5 minutes. Exceptions are only granted to those with documented injuries, upon approval by the Gains Tribunal.
Attendance is mandatory for at least one group workout or beer session every two weeks unless prior notice of absence or exceptional circumstances is provided. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action as outlined in Article III.
A member may have their membership revoked if they have not attended at least one class or beer session over a two-week period without formal notice or exceptional conditions. Revocation requires a two-thirds vote of members in good standing.
Revoked members may apply for reinstatement after a 60-day probationary period, provided they:
The Gym Bros shall elect the following officers annually:
Decisions affecting the group, including punishments and reinstatements, shall be voted on with a simple majority unless otherwise specified.
Punishments and celebrations alike shall incorporate named workouts such as "Murph," "Fran," or "Cindy." These shall be scaled to the offender’s capacity but never less than RX.
The first Thursday of every month shall be designated "Beer and Banter Night." Failure to attend results in a mandatory "Beer Deadlift" (drink a pint, deadlift 1.5x bodyweight, repeat 5 times).
Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing and require a three-quarters vote to pass. The proposer must perform 50 burpees as a demonstration of commitment to their cause.
